New Home in Wiltshire
EP Cambridge has spread it wings and set up it's main English
base on the Wiltshire, Berkshire border in the town known as Baydon.
We are centrally based an easy hour and half from Heathrow
airport heading west on the M4.
Exceptional facilities are located on farm with numerous
undercover stables and buildings for storage of feed and equipment.

The property is extremely well set out with a
great raceway system leading to the main working area.

Valuable data for our breeding
programme!!
EBV's (Estimated Breeding Values).
At the end of 2007 EP
Cambridge Australia completed the mammoth task of shearing over 2000
alpacas. Normally for the past 8 or so years we have collected all
the fleece samples and sent them off at the completion of shearing
for evaluation, however this year we took an alternative approach.
We brought the testing unit to the stud so that all fleeces could be
weighed and tested at the time of shearing to allow for complete
accuracy.
It is our ongoing goal to use all the collected data from our
herd to evaluate the future of our breeding decisions.
All factors are taken into account when evaluating the
data collected including:
- All measurable fleece traits
- Density of follicles primary and
secondary
- Staple length
- Crimp
- Follicle organization etc.
- The environment
- Animal management
- Animal Nutrition
- Animal Heath.
- Animal temprement
Over the years we have collected and correlated all
data from these unique animals and it is with this knowledge
that we have dramatically improved the quality of our herd from year
to year.
